The idea that you have to change your lifestyle to change your weight is not a new one. It is just common sense that if you are overweight then there is some part of your everyday life that needs to change. This could be an unhealthy diet, lack of exercise or a combination of both.
What many people struggle to realise is that changing your everyday lifestyle is not an easy thing to accomplish. Many people start new diet programs more than happy to make changes if it means they’ll lose weight. Unfortunately when the going gets a little tougher than they expected, they tend to give up very easily.
There is more to weight loss than just diet and exercise. You need to change your lifestyle, be motivated and have the right mindset. Having the right mindset is the most important and least talked about factor in achieving effective weight loss.
Follow these 4 tips:
1. Believe in yourself! The first tip for staying on track for effective weight loss is to realise that you really can do it. The only difference between people who lose weight successfully and those who fail is persistence. In order to stay motivated and persistent, you need to avoid thinking negatively. When you don’t see instant results, think positively and keep your eyes on the prize. If you constantly focus on why you can’t lose weight or stick to a diet plan you’ll end up failing.
2. Focus on small goals at a time. Most people want to lose lots of weight and do it quickly. They have a long term goal in mind but are not sure how they’re going to get there. Well by focusing on small challenges at a time you will find you are much more positive. By focusing on the next meal or the next exercise rather than only massive weight loss you’ll find yourself being a lot more positive over a consistent period.
3. Don’t criticise yourself if you do make the odd slip up. We’re all allowed to make a mistake every now and then. If you find yourself getting a quick burger once in a while, don’t beat yourself up over it. This will only result in you becoming despondent about your diet. Instead get back on track by working off some of those extra calories with some extra exercise.
4. Make sure that the people you surround yourself with know that you have a weight loss goal. If your friends and family know that you have a weight loss goal, they are much less likely to try and tempt you to fast food restaurants and to places where your plans and goals will go out the window. Tell them that you want and need their support if you are to reach where you want to be.
We hope these tips help you on your way to achieving your ultimate weight loss goal. If you would like to get our free report Secrets of Effective Weight Loss then please click on the link at the top left of this page.

What is the most effective weight loss pill on the market? I need to lose weight fast and I need more help! Thanks!
I’ve seen this legacy for life link posted a few times recently. I had a look, and it’s a waste of time. Listen to the first two posts, it’s good advice. Pills are expensive and a total waste of your money.

Ive been loosing weight over the past few months. Now that I have a gym membership I was wondering what workouts are most efficient at weight loss. I go about 4 times a week. Thanks
any type of cardio i.e. bike, treadmill, eliptical.
Weights would also be a great addition.
A lot of gyms will allow you to have a personal trainer for free the first couple times. I’d look into that.

Out of all the fruits, which are the best for effective weight loss?
Bananas are high in fat- 1/2 of one is one fruit serving-
Watermelon is too high in sugar-
I would say apples, oranges, grapes and pears-
All have skin / pulp and are very high in fiber.

I've been switching between both. I'm not sure what is more effective in weight loss, numerous short distance sprints, or long distance jogging.
Short distance sprints. It takes about 15 minutes for your body to start tapping into fat storages for energy. Prior to that your body uses energy from glycogen (excess sugar) storages in the muscles and liver for energy. Glycogen is your body's quick energy; fat is stored energy.
This doesn't mean that you need to workout for more than 15 minutes. If the exercise is performed at a high intensity (such as short distance sprinting) for only 15 minutes you will burn more fat than exercise done for an hour at a low intensity (such as long distance running).
You're probably wondering why since the fat storages weren't reached yet. High intensity exercise causes the metabolism to speed up efficiently post-workout, while low intensity exercise does not.
So after 15 minutes of high intensity exercise, although only glycogen storages were utilized, the speeded up metabolism will metabolize more free fatty acids than would have been used as energy with lower intensity exercise, resulting in greater fat loss.

I’m 23, 5′2 and I weigh 190 lbs.
I’m looking to lose 50 pounds and I know it will take several months. BUT I am looking to lose 15 pounds quickly and in a healthy manner before the end of 2008.
Any tips/tricks/suggestions? Thank you!
Hi,
There are a lot of tips that can help you lose weight fairly easily and i will put some below. Its a great start that you realise the 50 pounds wont come off over night though! The key to losing weight is a healthy diet that you keep up pretty much for good - think of it as a lifestyle change. Plus a bit of exercise. Ok back to your question:
Tips
Drink diet soda and water instead of the normal sugar full drinks.
Drink your tea/coffee black with no sugar
Get some good scales and weigh yourself daily. If you put on weight try and reailse what you did wrong and dont do it again. Equally if you lose weight congratulate yourself and keep going!
Each morning imagine what you want to look like to motivate your self.
If you drive eveywhere, try and park further away from places you go to than you normally would and walk a bit instead.
If you take the bus, get off a stop earlier than usual and walk.
Do not buy processed or fast food. By fresh foods and cook your own meals.
Eat four smaller meals each day instead of three. Spread them out evenly. This will keep your metabolism going most of the day.
Drink 8 glasses of water a day. It will help your weight loss and your body function. Your are 60%+ water and it is your best friend when trying to lose weight.
Eat your meals slowly.
Eat fruit when you are hungry or as a snack
Eat plenty of fiber
For more tips try the link in the resource box as that is all i can think of right now. Keep at it and the 50 pounds will come off easily (but maybe not quickly) Best of luck!

Could anybody tell me an effective & safe weight loss program without using any diet pills or diet supplement. I’m really desperate for a honest answer and not from a scam program.
Our own metabolism system play a vital part in controlling the amount of body fat burned in the process of providing energy to the body. Knowledge about our own metabolism function is the mother to all weight loss program. With the knowledge you not only reduce your weight but able to maintain an ideal weight and living a healthy life. Best of all you can eat what you most enjoyed without gaining any weight.
If you want to lose some weight, it is not necessary to take natural weight loss pills and supplements. The ugly side effect from taking weight loss pills may outweigh the benefit. The whole idea of a successful weight loss program is to approach it in a realistic manner without compromising your overall health. The following are some of the criteria of a good weight loss program.
• Without using any diet pills or supplements. Although a few type of diet pills have been approved by FDA but there were cases at a point in time, the FDA have approved a drug that is certified safe for the public but later recalls it back when there is a new finding that the drug is not safe in the long term.
• The weight loss program is affordable by all and don’t need to pay a monthly fees to use it. In contrast to diet pills regime where you need to buy it on a regular basis and the amount of lose weight will reversed back once you stop consuming it.
• The weight loss program must prove to be effective in the short and long-term, without need to endure starvation and without any daily athletic workout. (But taking a light exercise every few days is highly recommended).
Since 2005 I have tried reducing my weight using most of the so-called popular weight loss program from the internet but with no avail until I meet the following weight loss program that’s finally worked for me with all the above criteria. I’m confident that it will work for you too.

I have been power walking a mile using 2 pound weights, and I have incorporated some kicking, and knee lifts while doing the mile, but I have recently gotten an exercise bike and have been doing a few miles on that. My question is which exercise is more effective for long-term weight loss, and toning?
The weights in combo with the cardio. Mucle burns 8 times more calories than fat.
So, the power walk plus weights will help you more than the stationary bike, unless you pedal like Lance Armstrong.

I want to drop 10-15 lbs, and I am looking for something that is an affordable supplement that will help me lose the weight quickly. Anything that requires minimal exercise would be ideal. I try to eat healthy and try to eat less, but it never seems to give me any kind of results.
I also don't want to use anything like SlimQuick or Hydroxycut…none of that, because I know that you will gain the weight back twice as bad once you stop taking it.
I totally know where you're coming from - before I lost weight, I tried Hydroxycut and it made me really dizzy and gave me these awful headaches. I suppose that's how you lose weight with it - you feel too sick to eat
lol
And eating right and exercising have their place, but I never really got the results I wanted with them alone. Like I'd drop a bunch of weight at first, but then I'd plateau and not lose another pound - even if I was starving myself and going to the gym everyday! I really only started to see the results I wanted when I started using acai berry and another supplement to clean out my system and boost my metabolism.
If you want, there's a link on my blog to free trials for each of these products, so you could try them out and see if they work for you. Check it out here:

I really need some help and motivation. I gained a lot of weight with my last pregnancy. I am now at about 330. I am really in need of a good weight loss plan that is quick and effective. I mean obviously I am not going to lose this over night but I need to lose more than 1-2 lbs a week to stay motivated. I need to do this!! Any Suggestions?
you need to realise that you cant do anything drastic like only eat once a day coz you know if you do something drastic you'll put it all back on.
eating healthy, with one carb based meal a day, eating 5-6 small meals a day and at least an hour of cardio 5-6 times a week you will and can lose the weight.
